Solicitors

WHAT ARE SOLICITORS? 

Solicitors can be employed by charities, professional fundraisers, or volunteers; they are responsible for raising money on the charity's behalf. Each solicitor can be assigned to a contact. 

This section pertains to managing all the solicitors working with your organization.

WHAT YOU CAN SEE ON THIS PAGE 

The Manage Solicitors page has 3 sections (as shown in Figure 1): 

1) Add Solicitor Button 

2) Search and filter 

3) The Solicitors Grid Section 

Section 1: Add Solicitor Button This is where you can manually add another solicitor. Section 

Section 2: Search and Filter This is where you can search through your list of solicitors and filter for only those active solicitors. You can see the following fields: 

a) Search Bar 

b) Active only checkbox filter 

Section 3: The Solicitors Grid Within this Solicitors Grid, you can see all the solicitors you have set up in your system. You can see the following fields of the grid: 

a) The solicitor’s ID 

b) The solicitor’s name 

c) The solicitor’s email address 

d) The solicitor’s phone number 

e) The solicitor’s status (Active or Suspended)


ACCESSING THE MANAGE SOLICITORS PAGE 

Steps to accessing the Manage Solicitors page: 

1) Click on the Settings tab. 

2) Select the Manage Solicitors option from the list as shown in Figure 2. 

Please note that if you have an Analyst user role, then you will not be able to see the settings tab

SEARCHING THROUGH YOUR SOLICITORS GRID

This list of Solicitors is easily searchable through our Search bar (shown in Figure 3).

You can search by: 

• Solicitor’s name (first name or last name) 

• Solicitor’s email address 

• Solicitor’s phone number You can also click on the arrows at the bottom of the grid in order to move through the grid pages

FILTERING YOUR LIST OF SOLICITORS 

Use the Active Only checkbox (shown in Figure 4) to show only active solicitors. By default, this option is checked. Uncheck this option to see solicitors whose status is Suspended and Active.

ADDING A NEW SOLICITOR 

Steps to adding a new solicitor to your system: 

1) Click on the Settings tab and select the Manage Solicitors option from the list. 

2) Click on the Add Solicitor button as shown in Figure 5. 

3) Fill in the required information along with any other fields you need as shown in Figure 6 and click Add. 

*Please note that only the First Name and Last Name fields are required in order for you to successfully add a solicitor.

UPDATING SOLICITOR INFORMATION 

Steps to updating a solicitor’s information: 

1) Click on the Settings tab and select the Manage Solicitors option from the list. 

2) Click on any one of the Solicitor IDs within the Solicitors grid to bring up a pop-up of that solicitor’s profile as shown in Figure 7. 

3) Here, you can edit their personal information (such as their name, phone number, and address). 

4) Please make sure to click Update to save any changes. 

*Please note that only the First Name and Last Name fields are required in order for you to successfully add a solicitor.

SUSPENDING A SOLICITOR 

Steps to suspend a solicitor: 

1) Click on the Settings tab and select the Manage Solicitors option from the list. 

2) Click on the actions button beside the solicitor you would like to suspend and select the Suspend option as shown in Figure 8.
